Description

Deaver Progressive Series springs are high-quality 9-leaf and 10-leaf units fabricated with high grade 5160 “American Made” steel. A higher leaf count spring allows the use of thinner leaf material that yields a more flexible progressive leaf stack, or pyramid, producing a much smoother spring rate curve throughout the complete suspension cycle. The even, linear compression rate curve of our progressive system spring is the primary key to excellent ride quality.

Other designs features include full military-wrapped spring eyes for superior durability, diamond cut inner leaf ends minimizing shear points and anti-friction pads inserted between the leafs for a smoother ride and quiet operation.

Combined with properly valved shock absorbers, the ride is enhanced beyond belief.

Since my 2011 Tacoma Double Cab SB TRD OR was having an AT Habitat installed (~350lbs) and I planned to have a fridge and other camping gear loaded, AND tow a trailer regularly I decided to go with the Deaver U402 Expedition Series Springs. I was torn between the stage two and three not wanting an overly harsh ride, but a friend helped me decide it was better to go for stage three, and I couldn’t be happier. Even with only the Habitat installed the ride was not harsh at all (even if the rear end was a bit high). All those thinner leaves give a seriously smooth ride, even when running light. Once loaded for camping I have over 850lbs on the bed (including Habitat) and it still takes the tongue weight of my car hauler trailer (with SxS and ATV) to bring my truck down to stock ride height.

Overall I could not be happier with these springs.

Since installing a Stage 2 set of these on my 2018 Tacoma double cab long bed, I have driven across the US twice. Including doing the Trans America Trail and all the National Parks in Utah. Over 20,000 miles on them in mud, sand, ice, and snow. The surprising thing about them is they are silent. I mean once in a great while I’ll develop a squeak after getting them muddy or something but it goes away soon after. They are comfortable and carry the weight awesome. I have a bed rack and a hardshell roof top tent mounted year round. I’ve heard horror stories about other brands. Not a single bad thing about Deavers. Pay the slightly higher cost, you will thank yourself a million times over.

We install Deaver Expedition Series leaf springs on Tacoma trucks every month. We appreciate the flexibility afforded by the multi-leaf design. Ride quality is vastly improved over stock Toyota Leaf packs. Don’t settle for less, go Deaver and you wont regret it.
